Want a Free Taco?
Head over to a participating Taco Bell (US only) on October 30th between 2pm & 5pm local time. They're giving them away because Jacoby Ellsbury stole a base in game 2 of the World Series. Go Sox!!!
Bumbo Seats Recalled
Bumbo Seats are being recalled due to falling hazard. You can go here and here for details. But basically, it seems like they're just temporarily halting sales while they change the labeling. If you already own a Bumbo seat, like I do, you can contact them for a warning sticker. Or just remember to NEVER place the seat anywhere but on the ground.
Win a Mattress Cover
Do you need a mattress cover? We have one, but it's old. Well, as old as anything we jointly own is. We got it for a wedding present in 2004 and it's gotten tattered and torn. But it's the only one we have, so we use it. Over at 5 Minutes for Mom they're holding a giveaway for Protect a Bed mattress covers for your entire family! Go check it out you just might become the winner!

Who do you think they look like?
So what do you all think? Did the My Heritage site get it right? I saw this on my friend Karla's blog and thought it would be fun to try. Everyone says Mackenzie looks like me, but I guess she's looks equally like Josh. And I always hear people say Jocelyn looks like Josh...I guess they're mostly right there. :)

Global Incident Map
Are you interested in seeing what's going on in your neck of the woods? I found this Global Incident Map in a post on a forum I belong to. Nothing is going on right now in Colorado, but there's stuff going on all over the world.

Become an M&M!
Have you ever wanted to become an M&M? Here's the M&M my little toddler and I made of her. Isn't she cute? LOL! Go check out the site and make your own M&M. There are a lot of options for your M&M from body shape, legs, hair, etc. You name it and you can probably do it. My only complaint is there aren't a lot of arm choices. But hey, it's free and still fun. :) Enjoy!
I'm not sure how I feel about this...
I'm not sure what part of my answers led to this. Deformed? Eek!

You would make a good deformed pumpkin. |
Hand Sanitizer Warning
I got this link in an email. It's pretty scary. I haven't doubled checked it with Snoops, so take it with a grain of salt until you know for sure.

This Will Drive You Nuts
Click here for the Magic Gopher. This will drive you nuts. I know I've seen it before and I found out how it works, but it's been so long that I just don't remember. Have fun!
Vicks Vaporub
I got this email. I don't know if it's true, but I have done this to soften up my feet and it worked for that.
Vicks Vaporub
Although the scientists at the Canada Research council (who discovered
it) aren't sure why, It works 100% of the time .
To stop nighttime coughing in a child (or adult as we found out
personally), put Vicks Vaporub generously on the bottom of the feet at
bedtime, then cover with socks.Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will
stop in about 5 minutes and stay stopped for many, many hours of relief.
Works 100% of the time and is more effective in children than even very
strong prescription cough medicines. In addition it is extremely soothing
and comforting and they will sleep soundly.
It was a surprising finding and found to be more effective than
prescribed medicines for children at bedtime, in addition to have a
soothing and calming effect on sick children ! who the n went on to sleep
soundly.
An adult friend tried it on herself when she had a very deep constant and
persistent cough a few weeks ago and it worked 100%! She said that it
felt like a warm blanket had enveloped her, coughing stopped in a few
minutes and believe me, this was a deep, (incredibly annoying!) every few
seconds uncontrollable cough, and she slept cough-free for hours every
night that she used it.
So, if you have kids/grandchildren, pass it on. If you end up sick, try
it yourself and you will be absolutely amazed .

10 Worst College Mascots
I've heard some pretty good, er, make that bad mascots in my time. Like the beet diggers or the hay balers. But the college mascots listed in this article are definite winners, or should I say losers?
I always had semi-decent mascots for my schools. Well, at least in my opinion. I was an eagle in elementary school, a falcon in junior high, a golden tiger in high school and a cougar in college.
